In this talk Sherry Turkle does an amazing job tackling the issues surrounding our love for and attachment to technology.
Turkle is a professor in the Program in Science, Technology and Society at MIT and the founder and director of the MIT Initiative on Technology and Self.

I am guilty of all the things she describes, I love my screens and often feel that they cause me to avoide reflection. In this talk she says “you end up feeling isolated if you don’t cultivate the capacity to feel solitude…” I think the “capacity to feel solitude” is something so incredibly valuable…

December 24, 2011 //

Errol Morris really is the man (as my husband always told me).
“On the 48th anniversary of the assassination of President John F. Kennedy, Errol Morris explores the story behind the one man seen standing under an open black umbrella at the site.”
