Greatest idea for a blog EVER – The Kid Should See This.

August 27, 2011 //

I am absolutely in love with this site…We just spent 6 months living with my sister in law and her family so we got to spend a lot of time with my 6 year old niece and my 2 1/2 year old nephew…

Throughout that time I remember seeing so many things that maybe weren’t made for kids but that they totally appreciated….this is what the site is about according to Rion Nakaya, who collects the content for the site…

“There’s just so much science, nature, music, arts, technology, storytelling and assorted good stuff out there that my kids (and maybe your kids) haven’t seen. It’s most likely not stuff that was made for them…
But we don’t underestimate kids around here.
Off the grid-for-little-kids videos and other smart stuff collected by Rion Nakaya and her three year old co-curator.”

Knowledge Map via swissmiss

May 5, 2011 //

Just saw this over at SwissMiss and Oh, how I wish this was for sale….such a lovely, highly detailed map of the Land of Knowledge by Marian Bantjes, reminiscent of this 1977 German map of the Empire of Love.
